TERRORIST OR NEIGHBOR?

Misconceptions about Islam

It is unjust, unfair, and simply wrong to associate Islam and Muslims with terrorism and violence.  Yet, many suspicions remain because of misunderstanding and lack of information.  This program is designed to deepen our resolve to stand together as AppleMark
an interfaith community working together to end violence in our streets, misunderstanding in our hearts, and bring peace to our neighborhoods.  There will be insightful responses from Jewish and Christian participants.

EAST COUNTY UNITED, a part of the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County (ICCCC), is sponsoring this first in a series of educational opportunities to inform concerned people about the proper teachings of Islam and the Muslim way of life.  Cosponsored by ÒINTERFAITH CONNECTIONSÓ (a home-based interfaith education program) and a member of ICCCC.
